Hunter Padilla, aka DILA is an EDM artist and producer based in San Francisco. With his warm, uplifting take on electronic music, DILA blends positive energy and emotional storytelling to create mesmerizing tracks in a blend of genres from deep house to future bass. Dreamy and cinematic in sound and style, DILA’s intention as a music producer is to infuse his songs with positive vibes and elevate people’s moods with every listen. People are a fundamental part of his creative process. He says: “If someone’s feeling down or having a bad day, I want to make sure I can bring their emotions back up to a positive mindset after listening to my songs. Being able to motivate my listeners and community is really important to me.” DILA — who draws inspiration from acts like Martin Garrix, ILLENIUM, ODESZA and Kasbo — began DJing straight out of high school. He started out playing weddings, meanwhile building his own name as an artist locally. When the pandemic hit in 2020, DILA decided to start streaming and performing on Twitch. His fanbase snowballed, as did his network of talented DJs/Producers. That same year, DILA jumped into making music professionally, with different mentors nurturing his production skills and helping him gain a foothold in the industry. Since then, he’s performed at venues, events, and released new tracks.
